Hello and welcome to our first blog! We are heading into the New Year and saying goodbye to 2020 (thank goodness!). New year and hopefully new start filled with good health, love and celebrations for all. The one comment we hear from women no matter what time of year we are in is, “I want to upgrade my wedding ring!”. It is actually an easy and fun process and we are here to help you along the way!

Fashion styles change and the same is true for jewelry and ring settings. And as we age as women, our taste change. Maybe that beautiful solitaire setting which was perfect for you in your 20’s, is feeling too simple as you enter your 40’s. Maybe you started with a smaller round brilliant diamond center stone and now you are able to entertain a different cut and carat weight. The fun part is now you get to decide exactly how you want your ring to look!

Here are a few steps to take to start the process of upgrading your ring:

Step 1: Think about your style and lifestyle. Maybe you have seen a setting you have had your eyes on. Or maybe in your mind you know exactly how you want it to look. Think about what would work for your lifestyle; are you a busy mom who maybe needs a lower setting so it’s not snagging on things? Or you are ready for taking your same setting and adding side stones to make your center diamond pop? Look at different styles and settings to see what will work with your lifestyle now, and in the future.

Step 2: The diamond is King (or we should say Queen!). Are you looking to keep your original diamond or would you like to upgrade to a larger or different cut? You have the option to sell us your diamond or keep it and start completely over. We can show you options of different diamond cuts and carat weights, walking you through the 4 c’s to see how it would compare to your original stone. This center stone is our base point in building your dream ring.

Step 3: The design process! This is the fun part! We will look at different designs with you, discussing how it will look on your hand, discussing metal options, side stones and budget. We will create a CAD (computer animated design) so you can see exactly what your ring will look like. Designing the right style for you is key so you feel confident and comfortable in wearing your new ring everyday.

Upgrading your wedding ring can be an easy and fun process that will make you fall in love with your ring again. Sometimes we need a fresh start, new design, new feel; especially as we enter 2021.
